When a dream lover materializes in see-through form in front of Karenna Logan, she quickly learns that his people desperately need her assistance. When they declined to be exclusive to the King’s House they were executed. Their only chance of survival rests on a witch opening the portal and allowing them to live in her world. A flat, silver disk is the only evidence of their encounter.
Having renounced her magical inheritance, Karenna no longer considered herself qualified. Her mother's death was the main reason she turned from her destiny. Now this "otherworld militant needs her and she needs answers from her sister, Tessa. They find what they seek on the Internet.
Shandor Troika knew that he had finally found a blessed witch, a woman for him and him alone. One that could save his people from extinction, but does she have the power to set him and the other Petshani free?
THE PETSHANI has the makings of a wonderful novel if White could make that kind of commitment. Her creative imagery is white hot and demands your attention. Her characters are dimensional even in so few pages. This is the first short story I've read of hers and I'm looking forward to finding others. Perhaps even future chapters with Karenna and Shandor.
