The Elephant Walk
Written and Illustrated by Joe Spooner
Arnica Publishing
Hardcover Picture Book

The Elephant Walk captures your child's imagination through storyline and visual recognition just as it did 20 years ago for Spooner's daughter, Norah.

Your child will follow Norah through her dream, which reveals how her "Elephant Finding" Adventure began, and afterward when she prepares for it. After finishing up with her many responsibilities she and her parents spend quality time together on their "Elephant Walk." Problem is Norah's Mom and Dad keep on getting distracted. They want her to see the beautiful homes in their neighborhood and the creatures who live among them.

Norah's frustration grows as her parents become more and more distracted and the real reason for their walk is forgotten.

If your child is following the story, then he or she will recognize the fact that the elephant is never very far from Norah and her family.

THE ELEPHANT WALK is a wonderful example of how truly talented a person can be. Mr. Spooner weaves his artistic skills with a simple, yet effective storytelling session. I can easily picture an older brother or sister reading this book to younger siblings and with each page they'll enjoy pointing out the placement of yet another big or little elephant. The book introduces a challenge and sees it through when Norah realizes where the elephants actually are.
