Dear Readers,

Let me begin by saying, thank you, to all the readers who made "Briana" such a tremendous success. There's no better feeling than receiving letters, and e-mails from those of you who have read my books. It makes all those sleepless nights, and bleary-eyed mornings worth it. I truly appreciate all your support.

Now, on to more news. It's been a very busy summer for me, but as fall fast approaches, things are beginning to settle down, just a bit. While working on my latest manuscript, I received some very exciting news. "Picking Up the Pieces" a contemporary romantic/suspense novel that I completed earlier in the year, will be released by Whiskey Creek Press. "Picking Up the Pieces" is set in Southern Illinois, and I'm very excited about this book. I had no idea it would be so much fun writing about the area near my home. Over the next few months, I will have more details, so be sure and check back for updates on "Picking Up the Pieces."

In the meantime, I invite you to read the excerpt from "Briana." As always, I love to hear from readers.

Warmest Regards,

Tammy L. Boulds

"Some say life has many paths and one must choose the right ones to find hapiness. Nicholas and Briana have a few obstacles to cross before their happiness would come. Their strongest bond was love. A story that will warm your heart and bring a tear to your eye. Romance and suspense in each chapter makes it a hard book to put down."

"Tammy Boulds does a wonderful job of blending a historical setting with romantic suspense elements. In BRIANA, Ms. Boulds continues to write vivid characters with human flaws. I always find new and refreshing reads from this talented author."

Tammi Sutton ~ The Best Reviews

"Briana is a lively western historical romance that fans of the genres should find well worth the read. The characters are larger than life in keeping with their Texas locations, and the romance deliciously spicy."

--Laurel Johnson ~ Midwest Book Review

"BRIANA is a suspenseful adventure of unexpected love, deceit, and treachery that will keep you on the edge of your seat."

--Briana Burress ~ Romance Junkies ~ Blue Ribbon Rating 5

"Briana is a western romance set in 1880 Red Junction, Texas. Ms. Boulds creates tension for the reader with deception, betrayal, and tumultuous love. It is hard to find good western romances that will keep the reader engrossed in the story, so readers will be delighted when they read Briana."

--Cassandra Buckles ~ Coffee Time Romance ~ 3 Cup Rating

"BRIANA is packed with action, enjoyable characters and a good dose of romance. With so few historical westerns being released, fans of that genre will want to check BRIANA out."

--Tracy Farnsworth ~ Roundtable Reviews

"Tammy Boulds has done a tremendous job intriguing the reader's interest with an ever-evolving plot and diverse characters as well as created a memorable historical western. This was the first historical western that I have read and it will not be my last. Briana has opened my eyes to another wonderful type of book. Tammy Boulds has earned herself 5 Angels for her hard work."

I want to share some news, nothing about recent releases, just a proud parent. My son, Austin, who is an avid bowler with dreams of becoming a PBA star, began his youth bowling league on October 15th, 2005. The league consists of three games. After completing the series, Austin bowled a fantastic 845 series. Austin's series is the highest recorded series at the bowling alley, for youth or adult bowlers. Included in the series, Austin bowled his first sanctioned 300 game. This is an amazing feat by bowling standards, but what makes it better, Austin is fourteen years old.
