Romance

Madison has been through a divorce and has decided to rediscover herself.  She's even made a list:
1. Lose 50 lbs.
-join gym, tone up (allow 5 months).
2. Throw out fat clothes-shop for new.
(take Mom with me)
3. Visit beauty salon-cut off long hair and get blonde streaks, learn to use cosmetics to advantage.
4. Start assertiveness and motivational classes.
5. Go to singles bar and learn to flirt
-get picked up by drop-dead gorgeous guy and prove to SOB ex-husband that I am attractive.
Total failure at flirting
6. Learn to have orgasm-self-gratification?-Tacky, Madison, tacky.
7. Have sex with said gorgeous guy (protected of course) and experience orgasm for first time-prove I'm not the frigid prude Clifton made me believe I am.
8. Choose potential father material and establish relationship. Be pregnant by the time I turn 30 (October 27th) (Man needed for sperm only.)

She's gotten through the first four, but has been stymied by the rest.  Her mom decides to step in and help.  Especially when she finds out that Madison has not been able to orgasm.  So she calls Stud Finders Incorporated and hires her daughter a stud to work with.  Madison is just appalled, yet also intrigued.

When stud extraordinaire, Jake, shows up, Madison isn't feeling quite as upset as she was. This is the perfect opportunity to show that she can be a sexy, vivacious woman and have fun doing it.

When Jake took this job as a favor for his dad, he had no idea that he'd be mistaken as a stud, not a stud finder.  He has all intentions of disabusing Madison of her notions, but finds himself intrigued as to why a woman as gorgeous as her would need to hire a stud.  He knows that he shouldn't, but cannot find the will power to straighten out the misunderstanding.  He knows from the beginning that this could actually be a way to prove to himself that he isn't the flop his ex made him out to be, but is that really fair to Madison?  Does he want to be her stud?

Stud Finders Incorporated was a truly fun read.  It was touching, funny, and uplifting throughout.  Madison's mom was a hoot and played a very important part in the entire book.  The number that Madison's ex-husband did on her was just terrible. To feel as if you are nothing but a showpiece and then to be told that the things you've done to change yourself are the things he doesn't like?  How absolutely rotten.  I really enjoyed the scene in the restaurant where Madison meets her ex and things get ironed out.  Alex Fleming did a great job of taking the heroine and making her bloom across the chapters. I applaud the job that Ms. Fleming did combining the amusing mistaken identity and the life makeover of Madison.  She created a number of characters that were hard to leave behind when I finished this book.  I give Stud Finders Incorporated 4 Studs out of 5.
