Reekas', a tribe of warrior women deemed outlaws, were scattered amongst the stars. At the age of seven, Liane was sold into slavery and two years later she was incarcerated in a maximum security prison where she had to fight to preserve her sanity amongst the dregs of life. Forgotten for eleven long years, she is finally rescued by the Daamen traders.
The tortured, emotional state of Liane brings out the protective nature within Borga. His patience and care brings her back from the brink of insanity, and links them together within a trusting, caring relationship that blossoms naturally into love.
Together they unravel a mystery, and find restitution for her wrongful imprisonment. Both leading characters grow and develop as the story unfolds. Likewise, the devastating harshness is softened by comical, non intrusive interaction of the crew and characters previously introduced in Angela Verdenius' saga of futuristic romance and galactic intrigue.
From its riveting start to rewarding finish, Soul of the Forgotten is a rollercoaster ride of emotion and action that keeps you turning the pages…'tis most definitely a keeper!
I give Soul of the Forgotten 5 Stars!
