Cynthia VanRooy weaves a tale of a temporarily blinded author and his Girl Friday in her latest novel "Friday's Temptation."

Jill Fiori needed a quiet place to write her psychology Ph.D. dissertation. It was nearly impossible to assemble thoughts in her apartment with no end to construction at a nearby condominium development. Caring for author Taylor Sloane was fine with her. She already loved the adventures of his character, Jake Milligan. Now she could meet the man.

Taylor Sloane hated that he had to rely on the assistance of a woman to help him function and write his next novel, but he had no other choice since his accident left him temporarily disabled.

Once the two meet at the rehab center, attraction hits them hard.  A couple of things make their working relationship difficult. Her fear for dogs kicks in when she meets Taylor's pet, Caesar. Taylor quickly realizes that Jill can't cook, which is a big problem for him because food is one of his passions. Jill learns about Taylor's need for privacy and has to agree to his terms. She finds it difficult to talk to him without slipping and saying the wrong thing.

In time, they create a comfortable routine that helps him move about his home, attend to his daily needs, and continue trying to make his next deadline.

FRIDAY'S TEMPTATION is about learning to trust others when you've only known heartache and the need for privacy to the point that you don't let others in emotionally. This fast read introduces the dangers a celebrity may encounter because his name is so well known. There's also a few hot love scenes mixed in to spice things up.
