He will need the help of Dye, a talking sword, and a magical man. Andarta, a goddess, has given him the sword and the list of things he must obtain but now he must get Dye, a soldier, to help him on this journey.
Dye is furious when the Kahl, Warrik, enters the pub. When Warrik walks over and sits down at his table, he truly believes he has tossed back a few too many pints since he killed Warrik already. As Warrik tells him that he is in need of his help on some crazy scavenger hunt, Dye is shocked and intriqued. The moment that he sees a talking sword Dye can't say no.
Colin McKendrick, a magical man or warlock, has been imprisoned for angering a goddess. When she comes to give him a chance to right his wrong deed, he has nothing better to do and desperately wants to leave his cell. So when Dye and Warrik arrive, Colin is ready to start this voyage and brings along the backpack full of toys that Andarta ensured him they would be needing.
As Warrik and Dye round out their team with the Warlock, they embark on their adventure. In order to have the items that Warrik needs to resurrect his life, they must free Andarta's five enchanted sisters from the prisons that hold them against their will. There is a catch though: all of these prisons are sexual in nature. Can a dead man, a magic man, a soldier, and a mysterious talking sword break the spells that keep them locked away or have they just gotten themselves into something they won't be able to get out of?
Alpha Romeos had my interest within the very first chapter thanks to a wonderful promise of an adventure and three very unique men. This plot is one that is definitely unique and has some very hot tantalizing passion mixed in. Five sisters locked away and only explosive passion can set them free, readers will be hooked to see what tricks Colin, Dye, and Warrik pull off to accomplish this task. With Rhyannon Byrd & Madison Hayes throwing in a sword with a sassy mouth, readers will be captivated and smiling at the things that this one sword brings to the story. Although I had to re-read a page or two to establish the characters, upon the completion of this tale all three alpha romeos were beautifully written leaving me in love with each one of them. I have to admit that I can not pick a favorite among the three and if I had to choose one it would have to be Bash, the talking sword. This was the first story that I had read by either Rhyannon Byrd or Madison Hayes. It definitely won't be the last one especially since Alpha Romeos is part of a series being written independently by each of them. 4 goddesses
