When an old flame of Carter's shows up, can Carter still win over Rebecca's heart?  But more importantly can Carter keep her safe?

Cierra James has written a remarkable romantic suspense novel!  Set in current times with realistic, yet over the top plotting and characters.  This is a romance readers dream book - you keep guessing and asking questions - and just when you think you finally figure out what was going to happen, James throws in a loop and you are left guessing again and wanting more.  To me it's like watching an action movie, the anticipation keeps growing, you're on the edge of your seat, biting your fingernails, telling the characters what to do or not do.  It's definitely a page-turner; I started this book and read through the night to finish it.  Romantic Suspense readers will welcome this suspense with great anticipation.

Set in Central Queensland, 1813

Louise wants to work with the men, her father and her brothers, herding cattle and working the lands and farms but "Harry Ashford's daughters didn't demean themselves by working with the men."

Louise comes from an upper class family.  The Ashford's are a well-known and well respected. Louise feels she is nothing like her family. When her parents order her to move to England, Louise runs away, she wants to stay in Australia. She gets help from an Irishman named Lloyd Kavanagh.  Louise finally gets her dream to work with the men when she helps Mr. Kavanagh run herd on his cattle.  During this time a deep attraction forms on both ends.  Lloyd eventually proposes marriage to Louise which she keeps putting off because she has hidden her true identity from Lloyd.

Eventually Charles Ashford, Louise's brother finds her and orders her home to England.  Before leaving Charles visits Lloyd Kavanagh leaving him with a bad impression towards Louise.
Two years later, Louise is of age and her family has washed their hands of her.  Louise returns to Australia and to her surprise Lloyd is at her cousins having dinner as well as herself.  After all of these years of Lloyd hating her can he mend things to finally marry her?  Or shall he marry Mercy, a young lady who fancies him?  And Louise marry another as well?

The story will take you on a roller coaster of emotions.  It's a well-developed romance of two people falling in love from almost the first instance they meet.  It's the classic lover story, two people from two different backgrounds, two different worlds struggling to make it work between them at all costs.  It's one of those stories you wish would never end.  I really liked the descriptions; I could picture the clothing, the scenery, the homes, and the people as if I were seeing them with my own eyes.  The only thing I didn't like was the title, it kind of had me a little hesitant to continue to read on but the story overcame the title.  If you are a fan of historicals and a classic romance than this is a book you must add to your book list.

Romeo wakes up dead in Hawaii and his first thought was the short-lived romance he shared with Juliet. But determined not to give up, Romeo chases Juliet through time. While in Hawaii he meets a wise Master who begins to teach Romeo about the modern world. But there is no sign of Romeo's wife, Juliet, anywhere. Years pass, and without a sign of his beloved, his memory of Juliet begins to fade with time. Romeo logs onto an Internet chat room where he meets Emilie. They both fall in love instantly. But it doesn't take Romeo long to discover that Emilie is reincarnated, Emilie is his beloved, she is his shy and alluring wife, Juliet. After discovering their past lives in ancient Egypt and Atlantis the two must go through many obstacles before Romeo and Juliet meet again.

This story is just like Romeo and Juliet. It's sad, it's romantic, and it's passionate. This is the perfect story of soulmates and reincarnation of soulmates to be together again. Mr. Edwards dexterously weaves in an amazing amount of Buddhist concepts that paint a vivid picture of romantic, multi-life karma, mysticism and the eventual transcendence of their karmas.  This story is a fun read for any lover of a classic romance and tragedy book lover.    Instead of reading just the original Romeo and Juliet why not throw in James Edwards Modern Day Sequel?  It’s a new twist on the tragedy of Shakespeare version but doesn't end in tragedy.

This book deals with death and memories but that isn't the main focus. Eric Knight's best friend, Tom, was murdered and it was now up to him to find the man who killed his best friend or die trying. Eric is able to begin a quest looking for the murderer after rounding up some of his closet friends to help him. The story starts in modern day New York and leads Eric and his friends to the Renaissance Faire.  If the killer is at the Renaissance Faire than it's going to be tough for them to find him because they soon find out that the members of the Renaissance Faire are a tight-knit family.

I've never been to a Renaissance Faire, but I do love history and the idea of these historical representations.  It's a faire crafted by creative people, in impressive costumes.  This is not my first pick for a book that I would pick up and read, but I'm glad I did.  It's sad, entertaining and loaded with suspense.  There is jealously and lustful filled pages. At the end of the story there is a letter written by Tom's wife.  I'm not sure if this book is based on true events.  I think Teel James Glenn did an excellent job matching the descriptions of clothes and scenery with the time period and faire he was writing about.  If you're a fan of history and tragedies, such as those written by William Shakespeare, than this is a must read.
