Celebrating a 40th birthday can be hard. Celebrating a 40th birthday just after you've been struck by a truck filled with supernatural beings intent on killing you can be much harder. That is, unless you've just met a motorcycle-riding, drop-dead-gorgeous werewolf who can not only save your life but charm your mother, too. That's exactly what happens to Kris. As she's on her way to celebrate her birthday at her family's house, she's nearly killed, but rescued by Dade McClur, a handsome were who begins their acquaintance by saving her life.
Dade informs Kris she's an immortal supernatural being and begins the process of educating-and loving-her. To confuse those intent on killing her, it is decided that Kris must mate with four males to disguise her scent: a were, a vampire, a magic user and a hunter. It is the only way to keep Kris safe, and to give the supernatural beings who now comprise her world a chance to uncover the mystery of who is trying to kill her-and why.
Her Werewolf by Lisa Andel is a case of the story being so strong and intriguing that the reader overlooks any minor flaws in the book. The sex is repetitious in spots. The idea of performing the first part of the mating ritual, that is, having sex and 'giving herself' to the line-up of supes, does diminish the importance of the ritual between Kris and Dade but overall the plot is solid and I thoroughly enjoyed this. If fangs, spells, auras and magic is your thing, Her Werewolf is the book for you!
