Miriel is the youngest of the daughters of the Rivenloch. Although her sisters are known as warrior women, Miriel is the domestic, sweet and loving woman of the keep. She abhors fighting…or does she.

Rand La Nuit is a mercenary who has been hired to find and capture the renegade who robs the rich, the renegade known as "The Shadow." To do so, Rand must play the biggest role of his life…that of a man come to pledge his suit for the youngest Rivenloch daughter, Miriel.

But what happens when the game becomes reality?  Can love truly withstand all the secrets that lie between them?

Knight's Prize by Sarah McKerrigan is the third in her historical trilogy and a magnificent conclusion. Miriel and Rand are made for each other and watching their story grow and unfold was wonderful.  Rand is strong yet there is a vulnerability to him that draws the reader and leaves us cheering him on. Miriel is a wonderful contrast of what a woman was perceived to be in that time period and a modern woman.  Knight's Prize is definitely a novel worth your time.  It can be read alone or along with Lady Danger and Captive Heart, the first two books in the series.  One thing is for sure, if you like historicals then Ms. McKerrigan is sure to please.

Sabrina takes an exit and veers off the highway in search of a gas station.  She is startled when her car suddenly dies. Then there are the bright lights and something is tearing through the roof of her car.  When she comes to she is convinced that it was all a bad dream…until she realizes that she is in some big habitat.  She's been taken by aliens and she has no idea if or when she will be able to get away. What could they possibly want from her?

The answer to that question is chilling when she is forced outside her new home and paraded in front of a group of alien men all standing at six and a half feet or more.  She is meant to breed with them.  And she is not the only one.  It seems that there are a lot of women that were picked up for breeding purposes.  What can Sabrina do to stop this?  Nothing…she must do what she has to in order to survive.  But what happens when she finds herself the object of not one but two of the males attention? And what happens when she is forced to mate with both of them?  Is it possible to fall for more than one man at a time?  Her heart is saying it is.

Genesis is a thrill ride from start to finish.  Fast paced, it keeps you riveted to the story, unwilling to walk away for any reason. I read it in one sitting and can’t wait to go back and read it again.  I loved that Sabrina wasn’t portrayed as the smartest or the most beautiful but always kept her quick wit and humor.  Kole and Dansk were worthy mates and it was interesting to read the back story of where they were from and how they had been captured as well.  I thoroughly enjoyed the world created by Ms. O’Connor and would love to read about it again…perhaps in another of her stories?  I can only hope!  This one is a guaranteed great read!  5 out of 5 Quills

Maura Keegan is tired of the mortal men in her life. So she talks her friends into stripping down and doing a summoning for immortals to be with them and treat them like they deserve to be treated. Then she meets a wonderful, sexy man and can't believe how fate is tempting her when she is so close to finding her true mate. Can she withstand the sexy charm of Adrian? Or will she lose her chance at immortal love?  Maybe a trip to Romania will lead her in the right direction.  Or so she thinks until Adrian shows up on the same tour.

Adrian is ecstatic when he feels the call from his true love.  But how ironic is it that she is trying to save herself from him…for him?  He wants to tell her that he is the vampire that she summoned but how will she really react when the truth is before her?  He wants her to love him for him and not just because he is a vampire.  Can a trip home to Romania help seal their fate?  Or will his family interfere in his happiness?

Vampire Vintage is Ashlyn Chase at her best.  The story is filled with all the key elements that make a book so memorable.  The hero and heroine playing the is he, will she game while the elements around them collide and intrude constantly keeping them off balance.  I found his family oddly disturbing and interesting all at the same time.  And her family didn’t disappoint either.  All I can add is that I really hope that there are more books in the works for the friends who participated in the summoning.  I can’t wait to see who their fantasies are and how they will be drawn together. Ashlyn Chase is definitely one author who doesn’t disappoint!

Evan is delighted when she and her best friend step onto the shores of Fantasm Island, home of the Fantasmagorical Resort. She will spend one week at the anything goes resort, hopefully living out all of her sexual fantasies.  She jokingly points to the most gorgeous man on the island when they arrive and says that she would like to be with him for the week.  But he is surely way out of her league and if the flock of women already surrounding him is any indication, already taken.  But it is her fantasy.  Imagine her surprise when not one but two men claim her for the week, one of which is the hunk from her arrival.  Can this week never end?

Gabe and Lance have been entertaining women at the Fantasmagorical Resort in hopes of finding their third, the woman that would complete their circle and accept them as they are.  Not every woman can handle two such dominant alpha males who are more than just friends, much more.  Lovers.  Will Evan be the woman they think she is?  The woman they have been searching for?  They have only a week to convince her that they should be together always.

Fantasmagorical by Annmarie McKenna is a fantasmic book.  I loved it from start to finish.  It was quick but so hot that my computer was smoking, along with several other things in the room.  I loved the idea of a sexual fantasy island and enjoyed the way she progressed the story.  Evan, Lance and Gabe were wonderfully sensual and their immediate attraction could be felt with every word and deed.  I hope that there are other stories in this series as I would especially love to read the best friend's story.  As always Annmarie McKenna has penned another must read!  5 out of 5 Quills.

The Lunewulf pack is devastated when a pack run results in the shooting of a large number of the single women. This leads to the problem of not enough bitches for the males to mate. So Grandma Rousseau comes up with the plan that every unmated female of at least eighteen in the pack will be mated with three males. Only problem is that not everyone is for this twisted way to save the pack and save their blood line.

Nik Alexander is pissed. Sophie is his and had circumstances not intervened then she would be only his. He will uphold pack law…but only on his own terms.

Sophie Rousseau has been waiting for Nik to claim her. Then the new law is passed and she along with all the other young women are faced with the prospect of mating with three males instead of just one.  All Sophie cares about is that Nik is with her every step of the way and seems to find pleasure in the experience as well.

Lunewulf Law is a rewrite of a short story by Lorie O'Clare and I couldn't be happier. I loved the deeper look into the events that set everything in motion. I enjoyed the background on Grandma Rousseau, Johann, Elsa, and even Matthew. It helped to set the stage for what happens in future books. I'm so excited that Ms. O'Clare wrote this and couldn't put it down. It was wonderful to read all the rich scenes she added in and the unique way that she wove other characters into it. I can't wait to pull the rest of the books from my shelf and re-read the entire series. Ms. O'Clare has struck gold again.

Jessica loves Clay and wants to spend the rest of her life with him, that's why she's wearing his engagement ring on her finger. But she wasn't prepared for his confession and now she is filled with fear and anxiety.  How can she ever accept what Clay needs? Yet how could she ever let him go?

Clay wants Jessica to be his wife. He's loved her since the first moment that he saw her. It has taken a year to get her to realize what he knew in moments, that they belong together.  But now he has confessed to her that he is bi-sexual and that there might come a time when he needs the comfort of a man. He won't lie to her and lead them both down a road that could leave them in heartache. But he can't lose her either.

Tekoa has waited for his Thunderbird to show him his mate or hopefully mates and he is delighted when he realizes that Clay and Jessica are them. But there is tension around them and it won't be as easy as he had assumed. Now he must do what he can to claim both of his mates before someone takes the chance from him.

Spirits Shared is a wonderful sequel to Spirit Flight. Once again we get a glimpse at the beauty of the People of the Thunderbird and their way of life. Tekoa is sex personified and it is interesting to watch two alphas claim not only the woman they love but each other as well.  Jory Strong has once again proven that she is the best at her craft and with the introduction of Tenino who is cousin to Ukiah and Tekoa, I am hopeful that there will be a third installment to this. Spirits Shared is a must for all fans of both Ms. Strong and the erotic romance in general.  5 out of 5 Quills.

Jake is more than happy to see his lover and the county sheriff, Cree, home for awhile. All he wants is a little loving from this man he has come to know and love with every breath of his body. But they are interrupted by a phone call that shatters everything around them and sends them into battle to save the only woman that could ever make them both fall in love with her.

Jenny Barnes is on the run again from the step-father from hell. He has beaten and raped her before and she managed to escape him.  Now he has found her again and when she refuses to love him as he wants he almost kills her. When she comes to she is in the hospital and the only two men she has ever trusted and loved are there with her soothing her with their words and deeds, promising her safety and love.

But there is one man who will not let her go, who will fight to the death to possess her and keep her.  When Cree and Jake fear for her safety they call in the men that they know will never let them down.  It is a ragtag group of ex Navy Seals that show up to help protect Jenny and perhaps to help her heal as well.  But can anyone save her from the madman that torments her?  And will Jenny let the only people she has ever loved risk their lives for her?

Branded by Gold is a brilliant debut novel for Carol Lynne. The poignant emotion revealed in this story will leave you breathless and aching. It is at its very core an incredibly tender love story of three people who need each other to feel whole and complete. The raw emotion and tenderness jumps off the page and pulls you headfirst into their embrace.  Each of the ex Seals brings his own story to the table and yet takes nothing away from the main characters setting the path for the rest of the books in this series. I for one am eagerly awaiting the rest of the books in what has the makings of a can't miss series.  5 out of 5 Quills.

Reeva has been sent to this far post of Primales to study their environment and its effect on their behavior. What she discovers is more than she ever imagined or maybe just what she hoped for. For in Commander Vandar she finds a truly dominant Primale who ignites fire in her blood and makes her long to feel what it would be to be his Submissive.

Commander Vandar runs a tight ship. He has to as he stands directly in the line of the Narthian bugs attacking Earth. His life has not been an easy one and he bears the scars of battle that only a Primale could withstand, scars both mental and physical.  But Reeva makes him want more, makes him feel.  How can one fire-haired Fem get to him?

But there is more in the air than either of them know.  And their moment of truth could affect more than just them.  It could affect all of Earth.

Vandar’s War is the sixth book in Reese Gabriel's More Than Male series and is a wonderful addition to this BDSM series. The story of Reeva and Vandar encapsulates the emotion of dominant and submissive letting the reader into the very heart and complexity of a bdsm relationship. Yet it is more than that. It shows the tumultuous conflict that one faces within when the need to submit is combated by the need to remain strong.  Reese Gabriel is brilliant in showing that strength and power is the very core of a submissive.  And as always there is the story that surrounds the story, that of the battle to save Earth from the bug invasion.  Hands are at work behind the scenes manipulating things to design what is for the greater good.  Vandar’s War is enthralling and captivating with an intense sexual backbone that will leave you panting for air.  More Than Male is one series that must be experienced!  5 out of 5 Quills.
