

Time to sign up
Step 1:
Fill out the participation form. Tell us what panel you want to be in, submit a short, 2 paragraph bio statement, a photo and jpg of your book cover. Click here for the PARTICIPATION FORM.
Step 2:
Determine if you need to make reservations at a hotel or will travel home the same day. GWN will offer pictures and hotel info if needed. Or do a Internet search of available hotels in the Schaumburg, IL area.
Step 3:
Tell us if you want to sell your own books or let the bookseller handle it. Sue from Brainsnacks sold our books last year and will again this year. You can pay her a percentage of your sales or sell them yourself.
Step 4:
Offer to donate a book or small gift for the raffle. Indicate what you are offering on the Participation Form.

Who will be participating:
Romance and Mystery authors, publishers, PR reps, editors are all welcome to attend. Invitations are posted on various yahoo e-groups as soon as the webpage and sign up form is complete. To be able to sell your books you must sign up to be on 1 panel.
Is there a cost?:
There is no admission or vendor fee. There will be transportation and hotel fees if you're staying in the area. The library provides a catered lunch for the authors on the day of the event.
What type of promotion is expected?
When a guest confirms attendance, their photo, book cover and basic info is posted. Authors also post their guest appearance on their blogs, e-groups and websites. The local newspaper in the AuthorFest area is notified. Articles have been written in the past.
